Energy contracts typically have a length of several years and can be worth many millions of pounds. As an example, for large projects our experience indicates that very large losses, in some cases amounting to millions of pounds, may occur because guarantees within the contracts are not met throughout the lifetime of the project and these guarantees are not compensated.
